Virginity Sold For $780,000 To Help The Poor

A 20 - year old Brazilian woman had successfully sold her virginity to a Japanese national called NATSU. Before Natsu won the bidding, there were 14 others who tried to buy the woman's virginity. These people include the wealthy Americans Jack Miller and Jack Right and an Indian named Rudra Chatterjee.

Catarina Miglirini is now well known around the world because of this act. Critics around the globe expressed different insights and comments.

Hearing those comments, Catarina seemed unaffected. For here, she is not prostituting herself because she will do this for only once in her lifetime. She admitted that she is a lovely woman and she believes in true love.

Cure for HIV AIDS Finally Proven


An HIV patient in Germany was first cured through what is so called stem cell therapy. Mr Timothy Brown, an American patient admitted in Berlin was the first one who was cured after he had undergone stem cell therapy in 2007.

Dr Gerald Belimac, the doctor who handled the case said that the procedure was very difficult and still under research and study. He also said that it takes the right person, the right donor and the right recipient for a stem cell transplant to be successful especially in dealing with HIV.

A small percent of Caucasians are genetically resistant to HIV, which is the main requirement to be a qualified donor. HIV have killed thousands of people around the world because of the unavailability medicines to cure the virus.

Storm SON- TINH (OFEL) Leaves Surigao With Flooding Streets

Although there were no reported casualties as OFEL strikes Surigao, so many passengers were stranded as many ferries were not allowed to travel. Some low lying streets and places were flooded with knee- deep water because of the heavy rain brought by OFEL.

As of 12NN of this day, OFEL has the average winds of 85-100kph and believe to speed up to 120-150 kph tomorrow at 12NN.

OFEL is estimated to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibilty tomorrow noon. There were no other weather disturbances monitored with Philippine AOR except Tropical Storm OFEL.

12 Dead, 60 Hurt in a Fire Incident in Taiwan

A midnight fire in Hsinying hospital killed 12 patients and hurt several others. All of those who died were elders. They died due to excessive smoke inhalation.

Rescuers quickly reacted om the accident and rescued several number of patients and transferred them to nearby hospitals for immediate treatment. All of the victims as reported were bedridden patients.

Authorities still continue investigating on what is the cause of fire. Hsinying hospital is run by health Ministry located in the southern part of Taiwan.

1983 Marine Barracks Bombing Remembered

On the result of the latest bombing in Lebanon which killed al- Hassan, the head of internal security agency in the country, the 1983 Marine Barracks Bombing was clearly remembered.



As early as 6:22 AM, Sunday morning of October 23, 1983, a suicide bomb truck full of explosives got through the barbed wire and fences and successfully hit the barracks lobby. 220 Marines got killed,along with another  21 US servicemen.

It was said that, US troops got set up as they could sense threat from Iran and Syria. US government sent forces to Lebanon to help the country move along with its long running civil war.

There Are more Women Alcoholic Drinkers Than men

Recent survey said that women surpassed the number of men when it comes to drinking alcoholic beverages. It is reported that out of 2000 drinkers in a selected area, 52% of those are women while 48% are men.

As we back in the old times, very less number of women drink alcoholic beverages. Only those who are in higher position in the society can afford to drink it. In some places,  women don't even the right to drink such kind of drinks but as time goes by, more and more rights were given to women until such time that men and women have almost equal rights to everything.

Adele's First Baby is A Boy

Some reports said that the baby boy was born on Friday. She announced her pregnancy on her website last June. Adele, 24 met his boyfriend, Simon Konecki, 38 last summer in 2011.

This is the first baby of Adele and the second child of Simon. The pair were together during the 2012 Grammy Awards last February where Adele got six Awards including song and album of the year.

Adele born on May 5, 1988 is a songwriter, singer and musician . She was offered a singing contract with XL Recordings sometime in 2006.

First Native American Saint Named


Seven new Saints were named by Pope Benedict XVI including Kateri Tekakwitha or commonly known as "Lily of the Mohawks".

The canonization took place on Sunday at St Peter's Square. The homily of the Pope focused on the lives of the seven  who pay their lives for God's purpose.  

The other new Saints include a French missionary at Madagascar, a young Filipino missionary, lepers care taker and a nun who campaigned for women's rights.

"El Terrible" Erik Morales Got Knocked Out

The 36 year old veteran "el terrible" Morales got knocked out in the fourth round when the unbeaten Danny Garcia, the reigning WBA and WBC Welterweight Champion successfully  defended his title in Brooklyn. Garcia, now 25- 0 win - loss standing dropped Morales to 52 - 9.

Garcia stopped Morales using his powerful left hook which he said that he owe it from his mom. He punish Morales with his hasty left hand until he fall into the bottom of the rope.

Garcia also win their match last March through a unanimous decision against "El terrible". Morales who turned 36 this year still look for a possible rematch against the young champion Garcia.

Jalosjos Disqualified To Run For Mayoral Race in Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City - After reading every detail in the 16 page decision, MTC Judge Nancy Bantayanon Cuaresma ruled that Romeo "Nonong" Jalosjos, the founder of ZTZ ( Zamboanguenos for the Transformation of Zamboanga) is diqualified to register as a voter in the city,  henceforth, also disqualifying him to run as City Mayor.

The decision was merely based on the past cases of Jalosjos after he was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt of two counts statutory rape and six counts of acts of lasciviousness. He cannot register, vote or be voted upon in any public position until his perpetual absolute disqualification are restored by pardon.

Jalosjos attempted to clear his name by filing a petition  against the disapproval of his application to vote and be voted upon but was denied. He was disappointed with the MTC ruling and still trying to find another way to be qualified to vote for the next year's election.

Beirut Car Bomb Killled Top Intel Official


Beirut, Lebanon - A peaceful neighborhood in Beirut was shocked after a massive car bomb explosion transpired, which resulted to the instant death of top intel official and two others.

Few hours after the incident, tensions were heightened and gunfires were heard throught the capital, citizens blocked public roads where Brig Gen Wissam al-Hassan found dead.

The blast occurred in a predominantly Christian populated area in East of Beirut's cosmopolitan Ashrafiyeh district. Said place was a very peaceful place before the incident.
