Recent survey said that women surpassed the number of men when it comes to drinking alcoholic beverages. It is reported that out of 2000 drinkers in a selected area, 52% of those are women while 48% are men.
As we back in the old times, very less number of women drink alcoholic beverages. Only those who are in higher position in the society can afford to drink it. In some places, women don't even the right to drink such kind of drinks but as time goes by, more and more rights were given to women until such time that men and women have almost equal rights to everything.
According to studies, the number of men who drink alcoholic beverages were decreasing because many men are getting wiser and practical. Some avoid drinking for health reasons. While the number of women who engage drinking were increasing for the reason of self and social satisfaction.
